Chinese Herbology

Chinese Herbology is the ancient art and science of combining medicinal plants and minerals into synergistic formulas.

Although the medicinal formulas can certainly be analyzed in terms of healthful chemical substances, the chinese herbalist thinks primarily in terms of the energetics of the medicinals. That is, each medicinal substance is understood to have specific meridian affinities and a set of defined, dynamic actions upon the body.  Hence, the medicines are used to help the body adjust and balance its metabolism.  Consequently, rather than a life-long dependency upon the medicine, the body, once balanced, no longer needs the medicinal support.

Although chinese herbology is a complete system of medicine, Dr Kreitzer primarily utilizes chinese herbal formulas to help nourish the body – relying on Acupuncture and Homeopathy to address acute and chronic pathologies.
